AGM report and membership renewal

Hello everyone,

Thanks to the 22 members who joined us for the Macedon Ranges Field Naturalists’ AGM on July 5 at the Woodend Community Centre! For those who couldn’t make it, or if you’d like a recap, the annual report summary is available on request.

We’re excited to introduce our new committee for the coming year:

  • President: Steven Williams
  • Janice Welsh
  • David Glenn
  • Maria Bugeja
  • Ross Drewe
  • Andrew Dilley

We’re still looking to fill the crucial roles of Secretary and Treasurer. If you have the skills and enthusiasm to help us out, or simply want to get more involved, please reach out! We’d be thrilled to welcome you to the team, and aim to appoint these positions at our next committee meeting.

A big thanks to the outgoing committee of Helen Radnedge, Jan Welsh, Maria Bugeja and David Glenn for the past year’s contributions.

A special thank you to Adrian Marshall and Brian Mundy for sharing their fascinating talks with us!

Membership Reminder: Renew Now!

Just a friendly reminder that membership fees are now due. Your membership helps us cover essential costs like hall hire for our events and insurance, allowing us to continue bringing you engaging programs.

Membership Fees:

  • $10 per person per year
  • $25 per household per year

Benefits of Membership: Events will be free for members, while non-members will be charged for some events.

To keep things simple, all memberships expire on July 1st each year. Any memberships paid from now will be valid until July 2026. Memberships paid after March will be valid until July of the following year.

How to Become a Member:

Please deposit the appropriate fee into the following bank account:

  • Account name: Macedon Ranges Field Naturalists
  • BSB: 633 000
  • Account number: 179 813 175

Important: Include your name or some other identifying text in the transaction reference/description. After making your deposit, please send an email to macedonrangesfieldnaturalists@gmail.com with the following information:

  • Membership category: Single Person ($10) or Family ($25)
  • Full Name
  • Postal address
  • Telephone number(s)
  • Email address
  • Additional members (for Family membership)
  • The reference number you used for your payment.

If you are unable to use this method, please contact us, and we’ll happily arrange an alternative for you.
